I’m getting a flash of the future…. Tyler and Joe fighting over who gets to have “controller #1″, fighting over what game to play, fighting when one whoops the other. Why do I need to have another kid? I’ve already got two.

I loved those old Atari games, remember Kaboom fondly. I don’t know how I feel about video games for kids. They’re part of life, but when do they start playing? Dunno.

We were just at Chuck E. Cheese last night for Kora’s birthday and they have this awesome game where you throw little plastic balls at the screen and try to hit mummies or ghosts, or knock apples off a tree etc. The kids loved it and so did the parents. Games have come so far it’s amazing! I used to think Pong was fun.

I still enjoy playing the original Nintendo or Playstation myself. All of these new systems are too hard for me. Yes, pretty sad. My teenager doesn’t stand a chance against me in the old ones, the new ones are another story!

When my gamer son was filling out a college app, it asked him what he spent the money he earned from his job on, and he answered games. I’m sure that is exactly what Berkley is looking for. At least he’s honest.

The video game evolution passed me up the past 10 years. Unless I dedicate countless hours to get a smidgen as good as my 14YO, I get the crap kicked out of me when I play him.

Which is why I bought him a couple “classic” games for the PS2 a few years ago. I whooped him good.

He doesn’t play those games anymore.
