I am a friend of Sarah’s who has been reading this a while…

I threw that book several times. And not in the good “Harry Potter made me cry” way. In the “this is more emo than Howl” way.

I’ve done a good and fairly thorough takedown of the first two books at my blog, and I am trying to pluck up the courage to keep going.

Welcome back to the “real” world! Isn’t Edward dreamy?? My work buds and I all suffered a little bit of post partum depression when we finished the series. I think my boss was just glad we weren’t rolling in with our eyes propped open with toothpicks anymore. I loved the series!!

You are too funny! I read the Twilight books a few months ago and now I am stuck on True Blood. It’s an HBO series that you can watch online (If you look hard enough). Much more adult than the Twilight series, and I can’t wait until season 3 starts!!!

I’m comfortable enough in my masculinity to state that I enjoyed reading the Twilight series and the first film. I plan on seeing the rest of the films.

Oh yeah, since you’ve gone down the dark path this far, now you must read “Midnight Sun”, the 5th Twilight book that is on hiatus. The book is a retelling of the first Twilight book but from Edward’s point of view. The first couple hundred draft pages are available as a PDF on Stephenie Meyer’s website.

I tried my hardest to stay AWAY from the Twilight Series, but I was easily swayed by peer pressure and finally picked up the 1st book, about 2 weeks after the movie was released. I only bought the first book, because I just knew I was going to hate the whole thing. Yeah, well I finished that book in 2 days. And couldn’t put down the rest of the series. I finished all 4 books in 2 weeks, they were great, though I didn’t cry.

So glad you’re back to the living and keeping up with your reader, because I was starting to get worried.
