@AFM That’s encouraging. Zach seems to be no worse for the wear, so I’ll assume that Delilah’s just toughening Tyler up.

@Natalie We’re planting onion, zucchini, squash, tomatoes, jalapenos, green peppers, cucumbers, green beans… uhh… more stuff, but the wife has those details.

so sorry to hear about your thumb and tyler’s nose. i am glad that neither was too serious!

what do you plan to plant in your garden? i just planted squash, carrots, peppers, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, and strawberries. i totally took the easy way out though and planted them scattered through the already prepared flowerbeds in the backyard. i figured if they don’t yield much at least i have plants where there once was empty space. i will be disappointed if there aren’t tomatoes though. after the yummy tomatoes in turkey i have to have some fresh ones. if mine don’t work i will be frequenting the farmers’ market!

I'm planning to build a very similar raised bed garden in my new house (just moved in this past weekend!), so this was great to read your experience! the garden is beautiful!!! i wish we had that kind of space. alas we do not and i will settle for massive amounts of herb pots and flowerbed gardening.

Though not a power tool, I was cleaning a hand held blender once and reached inside to clean the blade out and accidentally pressed the button with my other hand. Fingerdeviled eggs. Yum!
