My kids both said da da first. My husband, Yankee that he is, used to make fun of me and my sisters for still calling our dad Daddy, until he had a daughter of his own. He had to admit that he loved it and wants her to call him that forever. Even my grandpa told that story and he was my Mom's dad! I think Maddie's first word was da-da, but it quickly mophed into Da-ee (daddy). Ben's first word was ah-da (all done) of course to do with food.
